Volunteer FAQ’s
What does a TAC volunteer do?
Volunteers perform a variety of logistical support tasks throughout the day of the conference. These range from manning the attendee registration tables in the morning to providing room directions to attendees at session breaks to running microphones for Q&A during the sessions. Activities are straightforward, and you will be provided plenty of advance instruction and day-of support. We also try to pair up volunteers for tasks to ensure adequate coverage.
Why volunteer?
Said plainly, networking. Volunteers get direct access to conference attendees, facilitators and other volunteers. Networking is one of the key benefits of TAC, and what better way to interact with and meet new people than to help them out? And you also get a sweet TAC Volunteer t-shirt.
How much time should I expect to allot to volunteer activities?
Individual shifts range from 20 minutes to 2+ hours (e.g., morning registration). Shifts go throughout the day with the biggest need in the morning when conference attendees are first arriving. Pick a shift that works for your schedule and we’ll work to align to tasks within that window. Many day-of volunteers perform multiple tasks within a set window.
Can volunteers attend the conference?
Absolutely. In fact, most of our volunteers are also conference attendees. You are free to attend conference activities before or after your volunteer shift(s). Just remember, to receive CPE credit you will need to be a registered attendee.
I’m interested. Now what?
Signing up is simple. Just access the link provided in the registration email and add your information. That’ll get you added to the prospective volunteer roster. From there we will send targeted communications to all interested with additional details on timeline, specific tasks, etc.

CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing to Nancy Thomas. There will be no refund for cancellations received on or after September 9, 2024.
